Other times, the learning curve is a breeze, and you instantly get it. DxO FilmPack digitally simulates the vibrant colors of Kodachrome 64, the soft grain of Tri-X, or the gentle fleshtones of Astia. It takes a while for the penny to drop, and you finally develop the necessary knowledge to optimise your workflow. The color rendering with this preset is pretty muted. The controls panel has been entirely redesigned so as to give users even quicker access to the settings and effects that are specific to either color or black & white processing. The folks at DxO have developed a complete photo editing and image management platform that instantly surprised me – in a good way. An even richer user experience DxO FilmPack 4 provides even better handling, allowing users to more freely explore the wealth of available renderings and settings.
